The COT Operations Group functions both as a testing and deployment arm of COT as well as a development group in its own right. Responsible primarily at its onset, the group was first organized to act as the testing support for COT, but in recent months, this group now has developed an inspection program of its own.

The program, known as the Mobile Inspection Package, is an integrated system of sensors and scanning devices, capable of detecting abnormalities in seawalls, boat hulls and other marine surfaces.

The Operations Group with its “hands-on” functions incorporates vessels, divers and various platform systems to deploy, retrieve and gather scientific data, information and instruments.
