More British Airways Flights to Tampa from London Gatwick Airport
Published by nora | Filed under Buyer / Seller Tips, Market Trends, Miscellaneous
More people in the UK must be going to Tampa because British Airways has increased its flights to Tampa from London Gatwick Airport, the second largest international airport in London and the second busiest airport in the UK.
From a flight frequency of five times a week from Gatwick to the city of Tampa, British Airways has started offering one flight every day for this route.
Why did British Airways increase its flight to Tampa? The main reasons are the following:
1. The city of Tampa is a great entry point to Florida and other places in the Gulf Coast. Tampa is close to several well-known Florida cities such as Orlando, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Sarasota. Orlando is less than 1.5 hour drive from the Tampa International Airport, which ensures stress-free airport transition for travelers, particularly families vacationing in Florida.
2. The Tampa International Airport has been recognized over the years by travelers. In the annual Business Travel Awards of Conde Nast Traveler in 2010, the Tampa airport was recognized as the third best airport in the U.S., even better than the very busy Orlando airport and other major airports like San Diego, La Vegas, Seattle, Pittsburgh, Detroit and Salt Lake City. Its best-scoring categories are comfort/design and location/access.
3. The city of Tampa and surrounding areas are perfect for couple and family holidays. Here are some of the top Tampa attractions mentioned in the website of British Airways:
Busch Gardens. Where children and adults can enjoy close encounters with wild amazing animals like gorillas and tigers and have an Africa feel. Live animal shows and world-class amusement rides are also activities that make children thrilled to the max.
Ybor City. A place brimming with multicultural heritage. Art galleries eclectic boutiques abound. Caribbean-influenced partying and night life is one unforgettable experience.
Downtown Tampa. Have a fill of centers for culture and arts.
Florida Aquarium. Where children, families and friends can have dolphin encounters and underwater oddities.
Clearwater Beach. Laze in powdery soft white sand and be embraced by calm waters.
Hyde Park neighborhood. Have a fill of restaurants, night clubs, hotels, shops, entertainment and historic places.
Soho neighborhood. This refers to South Howard Avenue, where one can enjoy locally owned clothing stores, art galleries and cafes. Finest examples of Tampa’s architecture and high-end restaurants are found in this area.
Pass-A-Grille historic district. This district features 97 historic buildings, with 354 more buildings surrounding the original district.
Lowry Park Zoo. This park has been rated again as the No. 1 park in the U.S. by Parent Magazine.
