Home Owner’s Insurance and Pets

Published by julia | Filed under Buyer / Seller Tips, Miscellaneous, Pinellas County Homes, Real Estate

Home owner’s insurance is a must.  Most mortgage companies require that one has some type of home owner’s insurance on the house to purchase it.  Many others see the value of having an insurance company cover the costs of damage on their most valuable and most expensive investment.

Pets, they are a fact of every day life any more.  Many of these pets are so well treasured that people pay other people to come and visit their pets while they are away at work.  Other people pay people to baby sit their pets in doggy or kitty day care facilities.  This is especially true for dogs.

What is shocking is that not all home owner’s insurance companies will cover a home that a dog or cat lives in or is fussy about the breed of the dog or cat.  What is even more shocking is that people allow this to be and do not stick up for their furry friends.  How can people say to be friends of their pets if they are unwilling to stand up to other’s who attack their friends as harms to society and the home.  Especially when that furry friend has given so much to make that house, the warm and loving home that it is, someone should take their side.
