Importance of Real Estate Impressions

Published by julia | Filed under Buyer / Seller Tips, Market Trends, Miscellaneous, Pinellas County Homes, Real Estate

Impressions are vital to selling real estate.  These impressions do not simply apply to the piece of real estate, but rather to the individual selling the home, the agent, and finally the home.  First impressions last forever, other impressions can be built upon one way or the other depending upon the first impression.

The individuals selling the home must give off the impression of wanting to sell the home, but not needing to sell the home.  This will help to avoid the sensation that something must be wrong with the home or that the seller is willing to cut major deals to sell the home.  The individuals selling the home should also give off the impression that they care about the home and took good care of the home or other piece of real estate.

The agent must give off the impression that he or she knows exactly what they are doing and that they have the best interests of the buyer and the seller at heart.  An agent who does not give off this impression will be viewed as untrustworthy and self serving.  This will push more people away than it would draw them in to look at a home or piece of real estate.

The home itself should be set up to give off the impression of space and safety.  The home should be clean of clutter and debris.  The windows should not be barred or nailed shut so not to feel like a prison.  The home should be inviting and relaxing, never worrisome.
