Buying Real Estate With a Realtor

Published by julia | Filed under Buyer / Seller Tips, Market Trends, Miscellaneous, Pinellas County Homes, Real Estate

Most people buy their homes with the help of a Realtor.  This Realtor is often found by picking the number and name up from a sign in front of a home that one is interested in.  Some Realtors do spend a fair amount of money on advertising their ability to find the perfect home for people.  There are some serious advantages to buying a home through a Realtor or a real estate agency despite the potentially higher price of the home and the commission rates that go to the Realtor.

A good Realtor will listen to the clients about what type of real estate that they are looking to get.  This often includes the shape of the home, ranch verses salt boxes per say.  Other things that help to narrow down the home that the clients want include the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, size of the kitchen, the size of the back yard and garages.  Once the Realtor knows all this information as well as the information regarding the amount of money that the client is willing to pay for a home the house hunting can begin.

The Realtors often have portfolios or agency listings of different real estates.  This listing often includes all of the information about the home and occasionally has virtual showings.  This helps to ensure that home of one’s dreams can be found in a relatively short period of time.  If the client likes the way the real estate looks, the Realtor can than arrange for a private showing of the real estate so that the clients can fully see and take their time in looking at the home or property.  If the client likes the property the Realtor can assist with all of the necessary paperwork to purchase the home.

If the client does not have a mortgage, the Realtor can help the client procure a mortgage or home loan.  The Realtor can also assist in getting the best deal on the home, either through lowering the home price or procuring closing assistance from the seller of the home.  All of this can easily show the value of having a Realtor to assist with the purchasing of a home.  While it can be expensive to have a Realtor assist in the purchasing of a home, and they typically like to have a certain amount of commission from the buyer/seller, it is much easier than trying to weather the finding, negotiating, and buying of a home alone.
