Rediscovering the Beauty of Tampa Florida

Published by julia | Filed under Miscellaneous, Real Estate, Shout Outs

After a recent trip to Florida, a friend emailed me praises about the wonderful state of Florida. It is not like I am the one that created the Floridian beauty, but one statement really hit me in the heart. She said, “I had forgotten the beauty of Tampa!” That made me think that in times when money is tight and people are traveling less and less, maybe they need a little reminder how close Tampa really is to perfection.

The Family Side of Things

For the traveling family, Tampa is a hub of rich activity. With the Lowry Park Zoo, Florida Aquarium, Henry B. Plant Museum, Busch Gardens and Adventure Island - both kids and parents will be so exhausted that a second trip will need to be made to Tampa just to get in all the fun.

The Adult Side of Things

Tampa is not all about kids, you know. From within the walls of Busch Gardens, there is the Yuengling Brewery. Parents can take the tour and settle in for a taste or two of the newest American made beer. Golf is also a huge pass time in Tampa. There are multiple Golf Courses and Clubs that offer specials for vacationers on a daily basis. Some of the most popular golf courses include the Westchase Golf Club, Avila Golf and Country Club and the Babe Zaharias Golf Course.

The Nightlife Side of Things

Just because the sun sets on Tampa does not mean the fun stops. There are hot spots all over the city and for visitors; it can be hard to find the hippest and hottest spots just by looking in the phone book. There are many night clubs worth noting, but five fantastic choices include The Rack, MacDinton’s, Blue Martini, Banana Joe’s and Green Iguana Anderson.

The Beach Side of Things

Now, we all know that people come to Tampa for the beaches and the city of ocean blue does not disappoint. What many people do not know is there are two different kinds of beaches in Tampa. There is the general public beach and the secluded beach.

The general public beach is an important thing to Tampa. In recent years, the state of Florida has improved and look and feel of their public beach spaces with many looking more inviting and beautiful that private beaches. The best beaches for public use include Bellaire Beach, Gulfport Beach and Indian Rocks Beach. Some public beaches will require money for the meter or a parking permit, but the amount is minimal at best.

The more secluded choice in Tampa beaches are those that can only be reached by boat. Anclote Key, for instance, can only be reached by private boat which makes the remoteness of the destination even more exciting. Other beach spots that require water travel include Caladesi Island Park and Egmont Key.

Tampa Florida is a great destination for both families and singles. The city can be reached by plane, train or automobile and the price of the lodging is often cheaper than a faraway island. The beaches are often free, there are secluded islands and the lack of mountains makes for spacious views and some of the best sunsets on earth!
