Buy NOW, Think LATER
Published by julia | Filed under Buyer / Seller Tips, Market Trends, Miscellaneous, Real Estate, Shout Outs
Most people are aware of this but for some reason some people are still holding out and waiting.. if you can, buy now! There are so many reasons why right now is the time to buy.
Today, right now, is the time to act. Here’s why:
Mortgage rates are extremely low, lower than they have been for many years. As a matter of fact, they’re approaching historic lows. However you do,have to qualify for a loan now. But there are plenty of lenders out there who are ready and willing to lend you mortgage money at very attractive rates.
Inventory levels are high…. extremely high to say the least. This is an unfortunate thing for sellers, but buyers however, have an enormous number of homes from which to pick. In most markets, inventory is at an all-time high. Because of this, buyers no longer have to settle on a home that’s not what they want, they get to chose the pick of the litter!
Sellers are motivated. Extremely motivated would be the operative phrase. Some are including cars, trips and even cold hard cash with the purchase of their properties. Whether they are in trouble with their financing or worried about their employment, or having to make lifestyle changes as a result of a lost in the stock market, many sellers need to sell… and sell NOW. Because of their situation, there are willing to negotiate to take the property off their hands.
First-time buyers can also get a $8,000 non-repayable tax credit from the government that you can apply it to either your 2008 or 2009 taxes.
We may already have reached the bottom of the market or are nearing it. Some buyers are still waiting, trying to pick the perfect time to buy when it’s at the very bottom of the market. However, you never know you’ve hit the bottom until prices are on their way back up. Many buyers don’t realize that an increase in their mortgage rate will eliminate any advantage they might have gained by waiting for home prices to decrease.
Buyers who don’t make a move right now are missing a HUGE opportunity.
