Knology Park - Blue Jays Spring Training Stadium in Dunedin
Published by julia | Filed under Miscellaneous, Pinellas County Homes, Real Estate, Shout Outs
Named by Sports Illustrated as one of the top five stadiums at which to watch a spring training game, Knology Park has the smallest seating capacity of any spring training facility. Home of the Toronto Blue Jays each spring, this stadium seats just over 5500 people, giving each seat in the house an excellent view of the major league action that takes place here from the end of February to the end of March.
Located in a residential area in the heart of Dunedin, Knology Park offers major league baseball fans the opportunity to see the Blue Jays and their opponents in a relaxed, informal and intimate (for a stadium) atmosphere. While small and often times referred to as nostalgic, the Stadium offers most of the creature comforts of stadiums twice its size but, without any of the pretention. A full concession area, skyboxes, air-conditioned rooms, a digital lighted scoreboard, and even a live organ player offers baseball fans the same features to which they have grown accustomed.
Unlike many major league ballparks, Knology Park also offers its patrons affordable tickets. Prices range from $13-$24 per game, depending on seat selection and who the Blue Jay’s are palying. If those prices are still out of your league, yet you still want to experience, Knology Park pick up an even lower priced ticket and watch the Dunedin Blue Jays Minor League Baseball team play or even the local high school baseball team, the Dunedin Falcons. They all share the same field at Knology Park.
With a size and scope somewhere between a childhood sandlot and the enormous domes found in most major cities, this stadium has truly found the perfect pitch!
