Dog Parks in Tampa
Published by julia | Filed under Miscellaneous, Pinellas County Homes, Shout Outs
Maybe you should make this a dog day afternoon and take your pooches to one of St. Petersburg’s many Dog Parks. There are five parks in all. Surely, one of them is close to your neighborhood. There is also a dog park located in Gulfport and Ft. Desoto if they are closer to you. Just be sure to check them out! Your dogs will thank you for it. These parks provide a place where they can roam free without the restraints of a leash. Where else can they enjoy “play dates” with other “kids” like themselves. Water is provided to quench their thirst after a busy game of fetch the ball.
The parks are approximately one acre in size and feature two separate areas designated for the larger and smaller dogs. The parks open thrity minutes before sunrise and 30 minutes after sunset. The entrances are double-gated to prevent the pups from sneaking out into the parking lot unleashed. The parks also provide water for the puppies’ masters. You may work up a thirst just watching them releasing their energy with their new friends. Even if you don’t own a pet, you may just want to take a seat on one of the benches provided to observe the animals just having a great time.
Please heed the rules which are posted at the entrance. The parks are for all to enjoy, so following the few simple rules provided, make it a safe place for everyone.
