4th Annual Chili Cook-off in St. Petersburg

Its that time of year again! What time? Well, its time for the 4th Annual Chili Cook-off in the Grand Central District of St. Petersburg. Mark your calendars for November 29th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Between 2000 and 2600 Central Avenue, the streets will be lined with over 25 chili entries. Get your taste buds ready for a treat! I am sure this will be a welcome change after the Thanksgiving turkey is gone. Sample all different types of chili and vote for your favorite.

This is an event for the whole family. Their will be lots of activities to enjoy while tasting your way through the festival. Live music will fill the air while street vendors show off their artwork and crafts. While at the festival, be sure to take time to visit the local shops and restaurants in the area. From antique shops to hair salons, dog grooming to coffee shops, the Grand Central District has a lot to offer. If this is your first visit to the area, get their early to take it all in. So much to do and see!

Another event that is always sure to please is 4th Fridays. The fourth Friday of every month is time to stroll the shops of the district. The streets are lined with oak trees and decorative lighting. Very unique storefronts that are sure to lure you in. Most of the shops stay open late and several serve refreshments to add to your shopping pleasure. Great places to find unique gifts for the upcoming season. And when it is time to rest your weary feet, pop into one of the restaurants for a bite to eat and a cool refreshing beverage. A perfect way to end the evening. See you in the district!
