Hop on the Bus for Real Estate Bargains
Published by julia | Filed under Market Trends, Miscellaneous, Real Estate, Shout Outs
Changes in the economy are causing more and more changes in Real Estate. New tactics are having to be found in order to keep the housing market going. Tour buses have been around for decades, but not all are for seeing the regular tourism sites now. Across the country there are an increasing amount of bus tours which are focused on foreclosed houses.
Some of the most popular are in California, Nevada, and Florida with others popping up in other places like Michigan. Some of these tours include not only a tour of the houses themselves, but include packets of information on the houses or even give practical advice on the process of pursuing a foreclosed house. One such tour in Michigan teaches you what a house’s value is, what to look for when entering a house, how to obtain financing, and more. An Orlando, Florida bus tour features 20 houses per week and has a foreclosure specialist on the bus who will provide information to make an offer to a bank and to avoid many of the problems that lesser informed buyers run into. A bus tour in Boston shows fewer houses in their tours, with some of the tours showing as few as five houses during a three hour tour organized and led by two real estate agents.
The new trend is not completely good, though. The foreclosed houses do mean a bargain for buyers, but unfortunately also mean the loss of a house for someone else and in places such as California, the amount of foreclosures exceeds the number of sales at times. It also means a few things for potential buyers, such as a small amount of research. If the deal does seem too good to be true, then continue with caution. The first thing to do is inspect the property since foreclosure houses are as is.
Research on the selling prices of other property in the area is a good idea as well as performing a title search on the property. If you follow through with the research, then a good bargain is possible. If you live in the right area, one of the bus tours can be your greatest asset in buying a new house. If a tour isn’t available in your area yet, wait around and chances are that as the trend grows, so will your chances of having one where you live.
