How Celebrities Choose their Homes
Published by julia | Filed under Celebrity Real Estate, Real Estate, Shout Outs
Underneath their glitz and glamour, celebrities are just like any of us, they want to live in a perfect home with a great location. But they do not live like the average person because they can afford more than what many other people can. So they tend to live places like the Aspen slopes, the Malibu beaches, and the Miami waterfronts.
However, celebrities have different taste which can range from incredibly luxurious homes like the Wallace Neff-designed estates of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to the glitzy home of Sean P. Diddy Combs in New Jersey. Meanwhile, young celebrity couple Nathan Lane and Renee Zellweger has chosen to live in a charming albeit low-key home in New York.
Celebrities also consider their homes as sanctuaries so peace and quiet is an important consideration for them. Mega-celebrities have a difficult time in keeping their privacy especially when magazines would pay millions of dollars just to have a picture of them in their pajamas. It is understandable then that most celebrities would live in gated communities that are not visible from the road especially if they have children.
Another consideration that most celebrities are concerned about is their image. They do not want the public to discover that their homes do not really project their public image. For example, if a celebrity is projecting the image of being down-to-earth, they do not want their fans to discover that they live in a gorgeous multi-million dollar home so they try to be circumspect in choosing the right residence.
But whatever the status or the wealth of a celebrity, everything comes down to matching the right person with the right residence. This is the same case with any other home buyer as well so remember that a house that has been occupied by a celebrity doesn’t necessarily mean that it is right for you as well.
